Try this firmware version (beta) to resolve the WPA encryption problem with PS3. I have used this on many Netgear routers to resolve the issue and it has worked perfectly. http://www.turboupload.com/download/MprNjf8reMvV/DG834V3_4.01.35_UK.img

Here's recent SHAMEFUL Netgear answer about this issue: Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that PS3 functionality will be provided in a later version of the firmware. Firmware updates are published when a sufficient number of complaints regarding a certain issue with a device are logged, and while I cannot speak for the development team personally, I would have to guess that we have not had enough complaints regarding the issue you face, most likely due to the fact that there are less Mac users than PC users, and that the odds of Mac users also wanting to use their PS3s wirelessly are slimmer still. The best advice to give would simply be to keep an eye on the website for updates to the drivers. ------------------------------------------- If you want to make your router work, you need to act now! Go to http://my.netgear.com, register and file the problem report! As they say they're not getting enough problem reports to make a firmware update.

Me as well same problem! Yes we need to stress the Netgear to try to fix this problem. Jersey thanks for your support but I'm in Italy and I don't think I could use the UK version.
